The TTC has made some service changes to the 13 Avenue and 97 Yonge routes, as well as introduced the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor (Line 2 Accessibility Shuttle) route, to ensure customers have accessible connections to the stations and areas around the stations where elevators are being installed as part of our Easier Access program. Please visit our website for more information.

TTC bans e-bikes and e-scooters during

winter months

The TTC is reminding customers that lithium-ion battery powered micromobility devices, including e-bikes and e-scooters, are banned on the TTC until April 15, 2025. The ban, which is in response to safety concerns, was approved by the TTC Board at its December meeting. For more information, please visit our website.

At the TTC board meeting on December 3, Commissioners voted to extend the deadline for customers to use TTC tickets, tokens or day passes, to June 1, 2025. Refunds, exchanges or credits will not be provided.

The deadline was extended to give customers more time to use up their remaining fares.

Customers can still pay their fares with cash, a PRESTO card or ticket, or a debit or credit card, including those in their mobile wallet. For more information, please visit our website.

Migration of TTC Board materials to the

City of Toronto's Website

As of January 20, all TTC Board and Committees of the Board materials became publicly available on the City’s Toronto Meeting Management Information System (TMMIS). Archived content (2024 and earlier) will continue to be available on our website until further notice, and meeting videos will continue to be live-streamed on the TTC’s YouTube channel.

Effective January 2, 2025

Transit Control may ask subway operators to reduce their speed through a certain area of the subway system as a safety precaution for crews working at the track level for ongoing maintenance. These Reduced Speed Zones will mean that the train will travel slower than normal in the affected area.
