core along Queen. Visit ttc.ca to learn more about this service change and

to plan your trip.

As of May 7, the TTC is introduced new schedules on some routes to improve reliability along busy corridors, add seasonal service to key city attractions, better align capacity with ridership demand and accommodate construction across the city. This includes decreasing wait times on certain overnight routes and enhancing the reliability of the 902 bus. Please visit our website to learn more.

Platform Extended at Eglinton Station

Image of Eglinton Station platform expansion with hoarding up

The new platform extension at Eglinton Station is officially open!

This extension connects customers to the future Line 5 Eglinton Station. Construction teams are working on the new escalator and elevator that will take you to the Line 5 platform, so customers might notice hoarding in some areas. If customers enter the platform at the south end of the station, there will be fencing along the platform’s edge. This is due to the train stopping further up the station, so customers will need to travel a short distance to board the train. To view the video of the extended platform, please visit our Instagram.

The Future of Line 3 SRT

Existing Line 3, alongside the approved interim solution to serve customers until the Scarborough Subway Extension is operational in 2030

Existing Line 3, alongside the approved interim solution to serve customers until the Scarborough Subway Extension is operational in 2030

In May, City Council approved on-street transit priority measures to support the Line 3 Express Bus Replacement Plan. Beginning November 2023, the SRT will be retired, and the express bus replacement plan will deliver very frequent express buses, about 70 buses per hour, per direction, via Kennedy and Midland to connect between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy stations. The approved on-street transit priority measures will include red-painted priority bus lanes, transit signal priority along Midland Avenue and Kennedy Road, curb alignments and turn restrictions along portions of the corridor.

To further accommodate the express bus replacement service, construction has started at Scarborough Centre and Kennedy Stations. At Scarborough Centre Station, this work is primarily in the former GO Transit bus terminal to expand the capacity for additional buses. At Kennedy Station, construction has repurposed the existing south commuter lot to accommodate new passenger platforms and the increased bus volumes.

The TTC will be implementing pro-active communications to notify customers of this upcoming November 2023 service change well in advance. For more information about the project, please visit our website.
