As we get older, we’re supposed to get wiser. I’m sorry to say that sometimes we overlook the many ways at home we can get ourselves into trouble and fall. According to the NIH, 6 out of 10 falls happen at home, our most familiar and comforting environment.
I once visited a friend's apartment. There were several area rugs on the floor, some had curled corners, and electrical extension cords and a phone line cord close to pathways.

Most if not all of us experience some aches and pains as we perform our daily activities – a sore back when we wake up, an aching knee after stairs, stiff fingers when we type . I recently had spinal surgery due to some compressed nerves causing pain and numbness in my feet. When I asked my surgeon pre-operatively whether I’d be pain free after my surgery, he said in his sexy French accent, “You’re 73 years old. If you wake up and nothing hurts, you’re probably
