“Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party! '” (Robin Williams) And so we did at our awesome Spring Festival. Just as with any terrific party or experience, we want to share the joy with our readers and, we want the spell to last. So, we’ve decided to devote most of this newsletter to our recent Festival.

WHY DID WE DO THIS?
Our purpose was to celebrate the women of TTN who, through their leadership and involvement, make this volunteer-run organization work so beautifully and meaningfully. These are women with purpose and leadership skills, who are interested in lifelong learning, supporting one another and living life to its fullest. Our hats off to you!

Equally important, we wanted to celebrate TTN and its unique value for women 50 plus. We wanted members to rediscover the myriad opportunities of TTN and we wanted to share our enthusiasms with newcomers.

THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
Music, entertainment, wine and hors d’oeuvres –- plus an array of opportunities. There were groups focused on travel, dance, culture, cultural explorations of NYC, starting a business, civic action, volunteering, readers’ clubs and groups that support short term medical needs.  A silent auction and demonstrations - from beauty makeovers to packing for bucket-list travel – took place throughout the day. We also offer a special shout out to our guest speaker, Ruth Messinger, whose inspiriting talk went to the heart of the TTN experience. And, of course, our gratitude goes to our eight sponsors ...   MORE

More than 350 TTN-NYC members and guests came to the Spring Festival

Behind the Scenes – A Letter to Festival Volunteers

A Letter to the Festival Committee:
“Thanks for a wonderful Festival.
And it was wonderful! But mostly, thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this effort. You made my job easier, which I truly appreciate! Without exception, each one of you followed through and went above and beyond what you needed to do. I knew that I could call on you to help and you always said ...YES. So I salute you!

And in addition to the Festival Committee, a very special thanks to the Marketing/Communications and Development Committees. You worried for me. You sweated the details. You created solutions.”

She spoke for us all. Her insights about transitions, her journey, our journeys and why we’re in TTN were riveting.
