Triad Triathlon Team Newsletter

It's the "OFF" season! Time to reflect back on this year's races and indulge in some comfort foods. It's also the time to think about next year and identify which aspect of your training you want to improve or focus on. Look for news about upcoming TTT clinics. Same as last year, we hope to provide multiple clinics early in the new year with the aim of giving you the best start to the 2016 season as is possible.

As you may be aware, the TTT had more than 24 members racing or supporting at the beach2Battleship Half and Full Iron distance triathlon. It was a spectacular day with PR's all around! This also includes more than 12 people completing in the first half or full distance event. It was amazing to see almost 25% of the TTT gathered together for such a monumental event and I hope that we can continue to grow as a team in the upcoming year with even greater participation in the following TTT destination races.
IRONMAN 70.3  AUGUSTA - Registration should open early December
This race is also a perennial favorite.  With a downstream swim (like Chattanooga), rolling bike course, and BONE FLAT run, this race attracts one of the largest # of participants on the Ironman circuit.
IRONMAN 70.3 CHATTANOOGA -Sold out! Foundation slots still available
We have at least 16 TTT members registered for the Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga race next May. Registration is still open with the next price increase 2 weeks away... In addition, the TTT has organized a 16 week coached group program to help get our athletes to Chattanooga. Details about the program  are available by clicking here.Feel free to contact for additional details.
IRONMAN CANADA - Plenty of room left!
Registration is also open for this EPIC destination race. Located on the West Coast of Canada, this race is a true family destination race. Currently have 5 TTT members registered for this event! If you are thinking of signing up for a full distance Ironman race, please give this race serious consideration. The venue is simply amazing as it is located in a ski resort. You can ski/snowboard, mountain bike, and go to the beach all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel!
Christmas party invitations are about to go out. The party will take place on Saturday December 12 th. As with years past, we will be sending the invitations to all members (and spouses) who are current on their dues. New members or members who need to renew their memberships are welcome if they agree to renew their membership at the party. (Contact Kerrie Ribando or Laurie Pelletier confirm your desire to attend and renew your membership) One of the reasons for this is that we plan on providing A LOT of door prizes. These prizes come from our awesome sponsors as well as friends of the TTT and we want to ensure they benefit TTT members.
This year, we also plan on having TTT board elections during the party. If you would like to be more involved in the behind the scenes operation of the TTT and have fresh energy/idea's on how to grow the TTT, please consider throwing your hat in the ring! Elections will be held for all positions; President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator, Activities Coordinator (x2), and webmaster. We currently have vacancies  for the webmaster and one of the activities coordinator roles. Our world famous TTT Christmas Party will take place  the evening of Saturday December 12th.
