Triad Tri Team Newsletter
MAY 2018

From the President

Hopefully we've put the cold weather behind us at this point, and can start getting into some serious training and racing this year at this point! Congrats to all of our members who were out competing at the Belews Triathlons and the NEST Triathlon, facing down some pretty cold water temperatures, but pulling out some great finishes regardless. Great work!

As we move into the spring and summer, keep your eyes open for more open water swim opportunities, including an early morning open water swim clinic this month, another happening on a weekend evening sometime in late spring or early summer, and potentially another stroke and technique clinic in the summer as well. Keep your eyes on the TTT Facebook group and the monthly newsletters for additional details.

This year we will also be renewing our team sponsors. Our current sponsors have been a huge part in what makes this club tick, from their financial contributions supporting team events to prizes for our monthly raffles and Christmas prizes, and even in person support at local races! Be sure to take advantage of the services they offer, and try to support our local partners and sponsors when you can.

While we'll be contacting our sponsors to renew, we will also be looking to explore other opportunities with new partners as well. If you have any suggestions for a partner you would like to see us engage with, please let us know! You can contact any board member with your suggestions, and we'll be discussing and exploring those as the year progresses. We especially like partnering with and supporting local businesses and groups as much as we can, but anything is open for discussion if there is something you'd like to see.

Hope to see many of you out training soon as we approach Nat Greene's Revenge!

Jason Nance!

Meet Jason Nance! He is somewhat new to the sport of triathlon, and brings great energy and  eagerness to the sport. He did his first sprint tri at the Thomasville Tri in 2016. His best traithlon tip is:"
Have fun at it, regardless of if you are 1 year into the sport or 10 years into it. Find a good group of people or some folks to train with who will push you past your current limits." We are proud to have Jason represent the TTT at the USAT Duathlon National Championship in Greenville, SC. Congrats Jason!

If you see Jason, tell him congrats on being our Athlete of the Month!
