Faceting adds Polish to the Main Show

Tucson 2023 is in the rear view mirror! It was once again great to re-connect with our faceting friends and cousins at the various events and shows.

It was exciting to be able to get back to face-to-face activities this year -- TGMS and USFG Faceter's Symposium proved there is no replacement for real live meet-ups.

The video below also gives you a good idea of the vibe of the TGMS Conference. Visitors were upbeat, glad to be at a 'real' gem show and ready to facet!

Interest was high on the ULTRA TEC booth, driven by the presence of the FANTASY MACHINE, the VL Classic machine and the upgraded12-inch lap GLASS TEC machine.

Big Thanks to the Booth Team - Dave Smith, Mark Oros, Karen & Scott Sucher, Tom Ross, and everyone who gave us a helping hand!

Prospective Faceters often ask what they should get as a ‘starter kit’ with their faceting machine.

USFG Tucson Faceter's Symposium

At the venerable OPLC, the USFG once again put together a very strong line-up of lectures and events including world renowed faceters such as Lisa Elser, Victor Tuzlakov, Scott Sucher, Justin K Prim, Arya Akhavan, Tom Mitchell, Stewart Wilson, and Dennis Anderson. Cutting Classes and dopping tutorials were well attended.

The full line-up of ULTRA TEC machines were available for viewing (thanks to David Smith of Faceters Paradise) and demo'ing during the event. Our Robert Rubin was on hand throughout the event for questions. A big 'shout-out' to all the speakers, David Richardson and the OPLC, the USFG organizers..... and great to meet all the attendees!
