THE MIRROR

As a little girl I loved to stand in front of our old mirror on our kitchen wall. I would make faces, stick out my tongue and just enjoy seeing myself and giggling. Later, I would use that same mirror to see how my hair looked and if I was looking “okay.” Mirrors reflect exactly what they see. Sometimes my reflection was better than it was at other times.

In the book of James chapter 1 verses 22-24 it also talks about a mirror. It says, “22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass [mirror]; 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway [immediately] forgetteth what manner of man he was.” In other words, the person ignores the truth of what he sees.

You see, my friend, the word of God reflects truth and shows us what we really “look” like. When it discusses things that are sin and we are involved with that sin and then just ignore what it says, we deceive ourselves. But, if we read the word and it convicts us of sin and we respond to that conviction by repenting, then we are not deceived.

Deception is at its highest as I write this. What once was known as sin is now just called okay. What once was called righteousness is condemned by the sinful heart.

We must examine ourselves daily with God’s “Mirror” and when we see our reflection as being less than righteous, we must deal with it so Satan does not have the legal right to condemn and attack us.

Thank God for God’s mirror. It always reflects truth!

My children I am calling you unto myself for change is about to happen very rapidly. For those that have taken the time to spend time with me, the change will only be a disruption, but for those that have not prepared it will be a time of great sorrow. Many that thought they were rocks but will and sifted like sand; and many that thought they were nothing will be strong because they lean upon me, the rock of their salvation. As we move into this season of change do not let fear grip your heart, for fear would like to dominate my children. But I have told you that fear is not of me, but power; power through the Holy Spirit, and through my agape love flowing out of you and into you, and a soundness of mind that does not lean unto its own understanding. In the days ahead there will be gross darkness penetrating every area of life. It will try to overcome your light, but I would say that this is the hour for you to shine brighter than ever, making a stand for light and not for darkness. Do not be afraid my child, for the light in you is greater than the darkness that is coming. Breathe in the life of my Spirit and saturate yourself in my word and in my presence and you shall see that this is your time to do great exploits. Now come to me my child and let me shower my love upon you. Let my loving arms carry you through the days ahead and strengthen you. For you were called for such a time as this.

Tuesday Thought For Today

Have you dressed for the day?

Did you remember to put on the armour of God before leaving for your day?

Let’s do it together this morning:

I put on the helmet of salvation so that it covers my mind. And I put on the breast plate of righteousness to remind myself that I am right with God. Because there is no condemnation when we belong to Jesus. I put on the belt of truth. We live in a world full of falsehoods and deception. So tighten that belt snuggly around you. You see, truth can set us free. And I take up the shield of faith. It will capture the fiery darts of the enemy. And I carry my sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. And I put on the shoes prepared with the gospel of peace. And I wrap the cloak of the Holy Spirit around me so that He is close to show me the way to go.
