Tuesday Thought For Today

Who can say they have seen God?  I never thought I would be able to say that but I had an encounter with God. I don’t remember how it happened that day but I remember that we had special meetings and James Goll was speaking at our church . I remember that he had talked about drawing closer to God and having intimate times with Him because He was our Father. With those words ringing in my ears, I went home. As I sat worshiping that night, I had a vision. I saw a young girl sitting on God’s lap. I couldn’t really see His face, but it was what the girl was doing. She had cupped her hands over His face and she was running her hands over His face as if to feel everything about Him. It reminded me of a blind person and how they feel with their hands “to see,” what they were touching. It impacted me so much as I watched. I finally asked God, who that little girl was and He said, “It’s you.” To this day I remember how I felt as I was touching God’s face. He not only allowed me to touch His face but I was sitting in His lap. I believe that He allowed me to see that vision because I had been asking if I could see Him.



He is a good Father. I believe that I saw myself as a young girl, because God wants us to come to Him as little children. Little children can trust and believe so much better than adults. They have faith that we sometimes forget about as adults. God wants to show us so much but we have to come to Him as children.

Psalms 27:8 My heart says of You, Seek His face! Your face Lord, I will seek. Do not hide Your face from me…

It is amazing what God will do when you ask to see Him. He has just the right encounter for you. So ask and keep asking til you have had your encounter with Him. Amen and amen!!

We can't ever let the blessing become a burden. When God sends the increase or overflow, there comes greater responsibility. God considered that before He sent it. Sometimes the "greater in God" shows up first before His provision for you to handle it all. He has to call forth "the troops" to help manage and provide for the many needs that come with "more" or greater in Him. Sometimes it comes forth in "Helping hands" and "Greater provision". Yes, provision is needed when God "expands your tent" or "enlarges your territory." Sometimes when you have a bigger crowd to feed, you have to get a larger pot to cook in and need more help in the kitchen.
