Merry Christmas to you, from your co-op family here at TVEC. It is our to serve you and our community as so much more than just an electric provider. May your home be full of blessings and joy this holiday season!
Municipal Boundary Maps Will Update January 1
As 2024 begins TVEC's mapping team will be adjusting municipal boundaries across the TVEC service area. While most members will not be affected by this update, it is important for members to know how these updates happen and how that affects your bill.

As boundaries change, you may be added to or removed from an area that is charged a franchise fee, emergency service district fee or other sales tax if it applies to your account.

For the purposes of determining a member's service location, we use the precise coordinates of your meter.

As boundaries change, municipalities must provide updated maps, and they must inform us when new maps are available.

If you feel that you have been included in a municipal franchise fee in error, contact TVEC member services and we can research the matter.

Capital Credit Return is on December Bills

TVEC members who were in the co-op in 1995 and/or 2023 should see their capital credit return on bills mailed from the Co-op in December. Please note that at least two billing cycles show the capital credit refund as "Miscellaneous Charge" in the billing detail. Bills from early in the month show the credit correctly.

How Capital Credits Work

• At the end of each year, if TVEC has received more revenue than was necessary to cover expenses, the difference is allocated back to members as capital credits based on each member’s share of electricity purchased.
• When the co-op’s financial condition permits, the board of directors may decide to retire, or pay back, some of the capital credits. This year, all outstanding capital credits from 1995 will be retired as well as 10% of outstanding capital credits from 2022.
• Capital credits are returned to current and former
members. For current members, this year’s disbursement will be applied as a credit on bills mailed in December. Former members will receive a check.
• This year's capital credit disbursement will be reflected on bills sent from the co-op in December.
Checks to former members will be mailed in early December.
