Reminder: Rate Adjustment Coming on April Bills

As announced in January, TVEC's rate for electricity, which was last adjusted in 2008, will see a slight increase starting with April bills. That includes usage beginning February 21.

For residential members, the rate increase will take energy consumption charges up just under a half-cent per kilowatt-hour to $0.109628, and the monthly customer charge will go up to $25.

Commercial and industrial rates will also be affected, with full details in the January edition of Texas Co-op Power magazine or at tvec.net/rates.

We discuss the rate and what it means for members with General Manager/CEO Jeff Lane in the January Consider it Hot Podcast here.

Scholarship money is allocated to students from each school district in the TVEC service area, as well as home school and private school students.

Scholarships are funded by escheat money from unclaimed capital credits returned to the co-op by the State of Texas.
