HARVEST BAPTIST GUAM: SURVEY TEAM REPORT

EUCON DESTRUCTION

EUCON ($200,000 ESTIMATED COST)

Immediate Needs:

• Many of their roofs were fully or partially destroyed, and water is currently entering three of their buildings. This is causing ongoing damage to rooms, equipment, and flooring.

Long-Term Needs:

• Due to the extensive water damage sustained during and after the storm, numerous ceilings and walls throughout the campus will need to be repaired.

• Approximately half of their library's book collection was lost to water damage.

"Following this trip, we will be sending additional funds to help cover fuel needs across all the ministries and support the outreach efforts being led by the churches. We are also planning and praying through a missions trip to both Saipan and Chuuk in the coming weeks, once supplies are available." - Ken Keith, Harvest Baptist Guam

Agape Christian School

Immediate Needs:

• A covered roof connecting two of their buildings was completely destroyed. Rain is now entering one of the buildings every time it rains, causing ongoing damage. This will need to be repaired by a professional contractor.

• The ceiling in one of the dormitory rooms collapsed completely.

• A water tank needs to be lifted back into position and reconnected.

Long-Term Needs:

• Their solar farm was lost and will need to be fully replaced.

• Approximately half of the ceilings will need to be repaired due to water damage.

• Siding and several doors will need to be repaired or replaced.

"One important note affecting all ministries: the government does not expect power to be restored for the next three weeks. As a result, every ministry is in constant need of fuel to run generators for their schools and churches." - Ken Keith, Harvest Baptist Church

Saipan Communiy Church

Immediate Needs:

• This congregation has no unaddressed property damage of their own. Their immediate focus is entirely community-based. They are the most active ministry in the Saipan community and the only ministry currently reaching out to help the island of Tinian. They are delivering food, tarps, and basic hygiene supplies to displaced residents and are working to set up a shelter in one of their buildings for those who have nowhere to go. Connecting that building to their generator is estimated at $1,500.

Long-Term Needs:

• A handful of small to medium repairs are needed on the property, but nothing requiring urgent attention.

Grace International Church — Chuuk

Immediate Needs:

• There is roof damage to several houses and buildings on the property.

• The church is actively serving their community and the smaller surrounding islands. They see this storm as an opportunity to reach more people, and they are burdened and motivated to do so.

• Chainsaws (Harvest is working on sourcing these).

• Food, water, and general supplies.

Long-Term Needs:

• Small repairs throughout the buildings.

CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH

Immediate Needs:

• The congregation has rallied together and addressed their immediate property repairs themselves.

• They are actively serving their community through the distribution of food, water, and hygiene supplies.

Long-Term Needs:

• A storage container sustained leak damage; the leaks have been fixed, but the walls and floors remain waterlogged. This is where they store Bibles and other materials.

• Several interior and exterior doors were damaged by flooding and need to be repaired or replaced.

• Minor repairs such as signage.

ORH sent $3000 to Harvest and has promised another $20,000 for further efforts listed in this update. Harvest Baptist is a good partner, and ORH is thankful for Ken Keith.

Pray that ORH can do at least another $20,000 to help these hurting ministries and communities.

Please pray for each ministry to rebuild and reach their communities..
