A Night of Hope
The holiday season is a time of celebration, but it can also be a time of hardship for many who are navigating life-threatening diseases or who have lost loved ones. Join us, Sunday, January 27 at 5:00 pm, for a night of hope for better days are here. Speakers Kay Gann, Tim and Dawn Criswell will discuss the adversities they have encountered and overcame. Chili and Hotdog Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. A love offering will be taken up at the end of the service. Please complete the online form if childcare is needed.
Connections Luncheon
The Connections New Member and Guest Luncheon is Sunday, January 27 following worship in the Fellowship Hall. Luncheon attendees will learn what is involved in becoming effective members of Tabernacle. It is an excellent time to meet our church staff, to ask questions, and make new friends. We invite you to be our guest for lunch and discover how to become a part of the TAB Family. Please RSVP to the church office by Sunday, January 20.

Sing! - 8-week study
Why do you sing at church? It's a question we almost never ask out loud. Yet, it is a question central to the lives of Christians who regularly gather together for worship.

Friday Morning Bible Study
The Friday Morning Bible Study will resume Friday, January 11 at 9:30 am in room 209. Evalyn Parrish will facilitate. If interested in purchasing a book, the cost is $10.
Band Members Needed
We are currently looking for more guitarists to fill out our worship band. If you play acoustic, electric, or bass guitar, please email james.kimmel@tabernacle.org to schedule an audition. Also, if you know someone who plays and needs to be plugged into a church, please let James know.
Student Ministry Study
On Sunday, January 13, from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm in room 304, the Student Ministry will begin a study on Sustainable Student Ministry. This study is geared to parents of students, youth workers, and others interested in the future of Tabernacle’s Student Ministry. Pastor Stephen will facilitate the conversations crafted around Mark Devries' book, Sustainable Youth Ministry, which focuses on household discipleship as a pillar trait of Student Ministry. Each session will focus on discussing a selection of chapters from the book and reflecting on the implications for the Student Ministry. In addition to these weekly study meetings, there will be various opportunities offered for subject matter experts to provide guidance through work sessions that may occur in a variety of formats. For more information, contact Crystal Gilley in the church office. 
Blakely Disaster Relief Trip
Tabernacle will be working with the Bethel Baptist Association in Blakely, GA to help the elderly in the area clean up their yards from damage caused by the hurricane. We will depart the church at 1:30 pm on Thursday, January 24 and return Sunday, January 27. 
Lodging will be at a local church.  No disaster relief training required. Please sign-up by Sunday, January 20. To sign-up or for more information, contact Chuck Griffith at 678.410.5302.
Community Needs
Open Hands, our community food and assistance center, needs pop-top meats, diapers (size 4), new children's and adult socks (#1 requested item). Alice's House, a local children's home, needs bed pillows, window curtains, and decorative floor rugs. Items can be dropped off in the hallway by the Fellowship Hall.
