Our Vision is to be Transformed by Christ and to see Transformation for Christ.
Chapel Window Lighting Tonight
As you may know, the stained glass window in our chapel is from our original building's worship center. The window was lit up at night so that people driving by could admire its beauty. We are excited to be able to light up our window again so that those who see it will be encouraged as they drive by. To mark this exciting occasion, we will have a fellowship event tonight at 8 PM following Deacons meeting outside at the circle drive. The Kona Ice truck will be there as well. Feel free to bring a chair as we fellowship together.
Church Work Day
Spring is here, and we need volunteers to help mulch the circle drive bed, prune limbs, and do other small projects. Lunch will be provided! Bring your work gloves and meet at the Pavilion at 8 AM on Saturday, May 22. For any questions, contact Stanley Moody at 704-905-3113.
Lord's Supper this Sunday
We will observe The Lord's Supper during the worship service this Sunday morning, May 23. The elements will be in a single-use, prepackaged container and will be available to each family as you enter the worship center. We will not pass the plates, but we look forward to celebrating Christ's sacrifice for us as we temporarily change the way we observe this important ordinance. If you are watching from home, we invite your to participate with us by having the elements ready as you watch.
Summer Intern Housing Needed
Tabernacle will be hosting a summer music intern in need of housing from late May to mid-July. We would like to have this Baylor church music student live with a family in our church all or half of the time (all eight weeks or two different families for four weeks each). A basement or garage apartment would be ideal and any interaction with the student while they are here would be a wonderful way to minister to them. If you are interested or have any questions about helping in this way, please contact james.kimmel@tabernacle.org.
Extended Teaching Care Volunteers Needed
Our children's ministry is seeking volunteers to serve in the nursery during the Sunday morning worship service. Church policy requires all volunteers to have a background check and to complete the Darkness to Light training. Church personnel will assist in completing these requirements. Please contact the church office if you would like to serve in this way.
Ongoing Donation Needs for May
