Be Transformed by Christ. See Transformation for Christ.
Our mission is to know, show, and share the love of Jesus Christ with our community and world.
At the direction of the Deacon Administrative Council, our church
has adopted the following plan for Re-Opening Tabernacle.
PHASE 2 PLAN (Current Phase) – Moderate Physical Distancing
  • In-person shortened family worship service
  • At-risk individuals are encouraged to stay home
  • Service is live streamed on the church website
  • No childcare (ETC) – all ages worship together
  • Physical distancing protocols practiced in worship
  • Care groups continue off-campus (No on-campus Sunday School)
  • Weekly online content and activities continue for all ages
  • Small outdoor events may be approved on a case by case basis with physical distancing
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures continue (specific details will be communicated)
  • Staff works in office with physical distancing protocols
We have a detailed plan for future phases, but we will continue to be
flexible and evaluate all decisions based on recommendations
from public health officials as any developments occur.
Under the current Phase 2 Plan for re-opening Tabernacle, our Deacon Administrative Council has approved small outdoor events, that are approved on a case by case basis, with physical distancing. In order to ensure all groups have an equal opportunity to use our Pavilion, group leaders must contact Linda Bohannon in the church office – 770.832.7063 –  to request your group be approved and the group/event placed on the church calendar. As with all Tabernacle facility requests, all reservations to use the Tabernacle Pavilion will be approved on a first come, first served basis.
Worship Service Live Stream Active!
We are now live streaming our worship service on our webpage each Sunday morning at 11 AM. While watching live at home is a new and different experience beyond our worship center, our hope is that it will allow you to connect to Tabernacle in new ways.

To join the live stream, go to and click the button that says "Click Here for Live-Stream." Once you are on the live-stream page, click the play icon. This is an awesome tool that our church is now able to use in spreading the Gospel.

Additionally, we have a new dedicated prayer line that is active during the worship service. Anyone who calls 770-832-1532 will be prayed for over the phone during the worship service or they can leave a message and our prayer team will follow up during the week.

Media Team Volunteers Needed
Due to the generosity of a recent donor, our church will soon install new equipment to begin live streaming our services each Sunday. Live streaming will allow those viewing at home to participate fully on Sunday mornings. We need a few more media team volunteers to operate the new equipment associated with the live stream. If you consider yourself someone who is good with technology, please consider serving in this way. There will be a training session to make sure any who volunteer feel comfortable on the new equipment. For any questions, contact .
Quarterly Church Conference for Student Minister Search Committee
On Sunday, June 14 immediately following the morning worship service, we will meet for the quarterly church conference that was supposed to occur in April. Also, we will vote on the Student Minister search committee recommendation from March.

Financial and membership reports will be voted on during this church conference and will be visible on the screens. If you would like to receive these reports before Sunday, please email .

If you are watching the worship service at home, the church conference will be part of the live stream. There will also be a Zoom link provided for those who wish to ask questions and/or vote in real time.
Ongoing Donation Needs for June
SPECIAL NOTE: We are not receiving donations at the church right now, but we encourage you to take these items directly to our benevolence partners.

Open Hands (our community food and assistance center):

Giving During COVID-19
The ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church continues during this difficult season for our world. Even with an altered meeting schedule, we would like to encourage you to give normal tithes and offerings as God leads. Our office is currently closed to the public. However, a locked safety deposit box has been installed outside the preschool entrance and you may drop your gift in the box. You may also mail in your gift, give online by clicking the button below, or text "tabernacle150" to 73256.

Tabernacle PPP Loan
Tabernacle Baptist Church applied for and received a PPP loan from the federal government as part of the COVID-19 paycheck protection program. These funds will help our church cover payroll expenses through this uncertain time, but we are praying that you continue to give so that we remain financially healthy. The entire balance of the loan is reflected in our financial plan numbers now, but those funds are earmarked exclusively for church payroll expenses.
