Be Transformed by Christ. See Transformation for Christ.
Our mission is to know, show, and share the love of Jesus Christ with our community and world.
At the direction of the Deacon Administrative Council, our church
has adopted the following plan for Re-Opening Tabernacle.
PHASE 3 PLAN (Current Phase) – Moderate Physical Distancing
  • In-person shortened family worship service continues
  • At-risk individuals are encouraged to stay home
  • Service is live streamed on the church website and Facebook page
  • Limited ETC resumes in steps beginning with youngest children with workers following defined procedures
  • Physical distancing protocols practiced in worship
  • Care groups continue (No on-campus Sunday School)
  • Weekly online content and activities continue for all ages
  • Life Center re-opens with physical distancing
  • Small indoor and outdoor events may be approved on a case by case basis with physical distancing
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures continue (specific details will be communicated)
  • Staff works in office with physical distancing protocols

We have a detailed plan for future phases, but we will continue to be
flexible and evaluate all decisions based on recommendations
from public health officials as any developments occur.
If you would like to use church facilities for your group meeting, please contact contact Linda Bohannon in the office (770.832.7063 or ) to request calendar approval of your event.
Worship Service Live Stream Active!
We are now live streaming our worship service on our webpage each Sunday morning at 11 AM. While watching live at home is a new and different experience beyond our worship center, our hope is that it will allow you to connect to Tabernacle in new ways.

To join the live stream, go to and click the button that says "Click Here for Live-Stream." Once you are on the live-stream page, click the play icon. Our live stream is also now available on our church Facebook page.

Prayer Line Now Open
Tabernacle has a new dedicated prayer line! Someone is available to pray live during our worship service for any who call 7 70.832.1532. Also, the voicemail will be checked regularly throughout the week to follow up with those who want a prayer team member to contact them. Please help us spread the word about this new and important way we can reach out to those outside our church building during this time when many cannot come in-person.
Life Center Re-Opening
The TLC is now open. Hours will be 10 AM-4 PM (Monday-Thursday), 10 AM-1 PM (Friday), and 9:30 AM-10:30 AM (Saturday) for walking. Pickleball will be available from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM on Saturday. Physical distancing is to be observed at all times and comprehensive regulations will be available at the TLC welcome desk when you check in.
Ongoing Donation Needs for July
SPECIAL NOTE: We are not receiving donations at the church right now, but we encourage you to take these items directly to our benevolence partners.

Open Hands (our community food and assistance center):
Peanut butter and jelly, bar soap.
We have crossed an exciting milestone in our project with the construction essentially completed and only a few minor items left to address. Most of the new furniture is in place, except the Kid’s Corner furnishings, which will be delivered within the next two weeks. Paragon 360, the company that is supplying the new Welcome Center Help Desk, graphics, signage and wall panels will be on site July 13 and should complete their installation work within two weeks. At that point the project will be complete.

The congregation has continued to give faithfully. It does appear that the ET project will be completed well within budget and with a few dollars left over to allow us to tackle a couple of additional areas that were initially removed from the scope due to their cost, such as the restrooms in the music suite hallway. Once all the numbers are finalized, we will provide a more detailed report on the budget and any plans to address additional needs. Many have contributed their time and talents towards this project, but we want to especially thank Jason Smith, Tabernacle member and General Contractor, and Roy Long, ET Project Team member who has served as the owner’s representative on the project. A special thanks to James Kimmel for serving as the staff liaison and having helped in so many details of the project. We also want to thank Pastor Stephen for his vision that has led us to Envisioning Transformation for Christ.

Thank you for your continued support of the project. We look forward to a return to normal gatherings so that we can take full advantage of this initiative to support the ministries of the church!

Giving During COVID-19
The ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church continues during this difficult season for our world. Even with an altered meeting schedule, we would like to encourage you to give normal tithes and offerings as God leads. Our office is currently closed to the public. However, a locked safety deposit box has been installed outside the preschool entrance and you may drop your gift in the box. You may also mail in your gift, give online by clicking the button below, or text "tabernacle150" to 73256.
