Our Vision is to be Transformed by Christ and to see Transformation for Christ.
Welcome Reception/Wedding Shower for John & Cheney
A welcome reception and wedding shower will be held for our new Minister to Students and Families, John Pridgen, and his fiancé, Cheney Cohen, on Sunday, October 3 from 2-4 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Please come to officially welcome them to our church family and to celebrate their upcoming wedding! View their registry HERE.
Senior Adult Lunch
Make plans to attend the Brown Bag Sr. Adult lunch October 5 at 11:45 AM. Bring your lunch and we will supply the drinks and dessert. Do you have a phone, ipad, kindle or other digital device that you need help with? Bring it and our "experts" will try to help you with your digital device.
Carrollton Baptist Association Meeting
The 148th Annual Meeting of the Carrollton Baptist Association will be held at Roopville Road Baptist Church on Sunday, October 17 at 6 PM. Backpacks for Appalachia will be collected beginning at 5 PM. If you would like to serve as a messenger, please contact Lynn Weathington in the church office.
Student Corn Maze
We are inviting all students for a night at the Carlton Farms corn maze on October 23. We will meet at the Life Center at 4:30 PM and will get dinner on the way. Cost is $15 per student as well as money for dinner.
Generations Sunday
All ages will fill the Worship Center platform to lead together on October 24 for Generations Sunday. These services are always encouraging as we see a picture of the larger body of Christ serving together. We look forward to an encouraging day of worship and hope you will join us in person or online.
Trunk or Treat
Join us on campus for an afternoon of fun on Sunday, October 24 from 3-5 PM. This event is for Tabernacle Preschool families as well as Tabernacle families and friends. Additionally, we need vehicles for the trunk-or-treat and people to help with s'mores and other activities. Drop off bags of "fun size" candy at the Life Center desk, Preschool/Children desk, at the Help Desk, or leave it in your Sunday School class to be picked up. To volunteer to help, sign up in your Sunday School class or at the Help Desk. Contact Rob Sauls for more information about getting involved.
Recreation Schedule Update
Fall recreation activities are available each week for walking, pickleball and corn hole. The Life Center Gym is open Monday-Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM, Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM, and Saturdays from 9:30-10:30 AM for walking, and 10:30 to 12:00 for pickleball. Come join us for fun, fellowship and fitness!
Serve the City 2021
We had a great time on September 18 at the first annual Serve The City. Tabernacle Students partnered with seven other churches in the West Georgia area to serve the surrounding communities. Our students and adults were able to serve with Sue McGukin at Open Hands as well as the Midway Clothes Closet (when our second project fell through due to weather). We had a great time getting to serve, worship, and hangout together. We're looking forward to many more exciting things this fall in our student ministry.
Foto Sisters Concert & Fellowship
Thank you to those who invited guests for an awesome concert event and ice cream fellowship Sunday night. The music was outstanding and the fellowship was meaningful as over 40 guests attended the event. We are following up with those who gave us their information and look forward to the next opportunity to reach out.
Be in prayer for...
  • Pray for the unity of Tabernacle so that we may clearly communicate the gospel to our hurting world.
  • Pray for intentionality between every person at Tabernacle Baptist Church and the divine appointments they encounter so that people may come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
  • Pray for grace to abound at Tabernacle so that our perspective of those around us may be enlightened by the redeeming possibilities of God’s love.
