Retirement Reception for Shirley Humphries
On Sunday, February 9 after the morning worship service, the church family will have an opportunity to say thank you to Shirley Humphries for over 34 years of service as Administrative Assistant for Music & Worship here at Tabernacle. We invite everyone to bring cards and gift cards to bless Shirley for her faithfulness to our church over these many years. We wish her the best as she begins a new chapter of her life.
Who's Your One? - Guest Sunday, February 9
We're encouraging all of our members to invite someone to church who does not regularly attend Tabernacle on Generations Sunday, February 9. As we intentionally focus outward, this special Sunday will be a great opportunity to introduce someone to Tabernacle who does not currently have a church home or does not regularly attend another church.
Church Cruise Informational Meeting
We will have another meeting about the January 2021 Church Cruise. The meeting will be on Sunday, February 16 after the worship service in the Parlor.
Tabernacle Life Center Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers a couple of hours each week to work the TLC Welcome Desk. Shifts are generally 2 hours each during Open Gym times of 9 AM - 4 PM. Two volunteers are required at the desk at all times. Please contact Rick Bohannon at 770-823-6598.
Senior Adult Luncheon
The senior adults will have a luncheon on Tuesday, February 11 at 11:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall. 11Alive's chief meteorologist Chris Holcomb will be there as a special guest speaker.
Senior Adult Tax Luncheon
The senior adult tax luncheon is Sunday, February 23 at 12 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Information concerning tax benefits for senior adults who file tax returns taking RMDs/Required Minimum Distributions from one or more IRA accounts will be discussed. Lunch will be soup, sandwiches and dessert.
Senior Adult Jubilee Conference
The Senior Adult Jubilee Conference will be held on September 28-30 in Gatlinburg, TN this year. Sign up by February 16 to attend.The cost is $250 per person, with a $100 deposit due at sign up. Register to attend at the table outside the office.
Pinewood Derby
The Pinewood Derby takes place on Sunday, February 9 at 3:30 PM. There are races for all ages, Kindergarten and under through adult. You can still purchase a derby car at the desk outside the office on Wednesday. Cars can be worked on at home or during designated times during WAM! on February 5, as well as a workshop day on February 8 at 10 AM in the gym.
New Adult Discipleship Class Staring March 4!

What would Jesus Say About . . . ?
This study challenge us to examine our commitment to the gospel and to consider what Jesus would say about multiple topics. Some of the topics include the Bible, poverty, discipleship, evangelism, family, and sacrifice. This study starts on Wednesday, March 4 at 6 PM in the Fellowship Hall. The book cost is $10.
Baby Bottle Boomerang
Baby Bottle Boomerang has begun. Each year, we support the Carrollton
Pregnancy Resource Center as they minister to the women and men facing
unexpected pregnancies. Fill a baby bottle with checks, cash, or change and
return the bottle to the church by February 9. Bottles can be picked up outside the Fellowship Hall.

Open Hands (our community food and assistance center):
Peanut butter, jelly, canned meats

Alice's House (a local children's home):
Shampoo, laundry detergent, toothpaste
Items for Open Hands and Alice's House may be dropped off in the donation bins in the Fellowship Hall.

Homeless shower ministry (in our Life Center):
Travel size toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant
Items for the shower ministry may be dropped off at the Life Center desk.
