Camp Hawkins Mission Trip
It's almost time for Camp Hawkins Summer Camp! This special needs camp near Cornelia, Georgia is sponsored by the Georgia Baptist Children's Home. Volunteers will leave next week to assist in arts & crafts, bible study, sports & recreation, cooking, and laundry.
The Southern Baptist Convention
Tabernacle can send 11 messengers to the 2019 annual meeting of The Southern Baptist Convention in Birmingham, Alabama on June 11 -12. If you are interested in attending, please contact Linda Bohannon in the church office. There is no charge to attend the meetings, but messengers will be responsible for their own food and lodging.
July 4th Fireworks
Carrollton celebrates Independence Day with their annual 4th of July fireworks display on Thursday, July 4. Join us in the Tabernacle parking lot for this community outreach event. Fireworks will begin at dusk, which is approximately 9:30 PM. The church offices will be closed.
Midtown Water Park Family Night
It's summer swim time! Bring the whole family to Midtown Water Park on Sunday, July 14, starting at 7:30 PM. Contact Crystal Gilley in the church office to sign up by July 5.
SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
Senior Adult Mystery Lunch
The senior adults will go on a mystery lunch trip on Tuesday, June 25. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 10 AM, returning by 4 PM. The only expense will be lunch. Please contact Marie Ragsdale in the church office to sign up or for more information.
 
DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY
Cancer Support Group
Has your life been impacted by cancer? You are invited to join our cancer support group, which meets every 3rd Wednesday of each month. Our goal is to provide spiritual and emotional support to those diagnosed, currently undergoing treatment, caregivers, and those in remission. Our next meeting is Wednesday, June 19 at 6 PM in room 256.
MISSIONS MINISTRY
Cumberland Mission Trip
The general Cumberland Mission Trip will be July 7-12. We will assist the Burkeen family in running their weekly program for children in the Cumberland area. We will provide bible studies, crafts, recreation, and meals. Contact Linda.bohannon@tabernacle.org for more information.
Community Needs
Open Hands, our community food and assistance center, needs quart & gallon plastic bags, bar soap, toothpaste, and socks. Alice's House, a local children's home, needs paper napkins, wash cloths, and kleenex. Items may be dropped off in the hallway by the Fellowship Hall.
