Tabernacle's Community Service Day

Join us on Saturday, July 20 for this outreach opportunity outside the walls of our church. We will have several projects to choose from to serve our community. This is a family friendly event for all ages. Tables will be in the Fellowship Hall for donations of pop top canned meats and other non- perishable food items, Velveeta cheese, canned tomatoes, chips (all kinds), canned mandarin oranges, sugar, protein or cereal bars. We will gather at 8:30 AM for doughnuts and assignments, returning to the church at 12:00 PM for a light lunch and share time.

Quarterly Church Conference

Summer Reflection Service

Our next Quarterly Church Conference will be held Sunday, July 21 at 4:00 PM in the chapel. Be sure to stay for the Summer Reflection Service which will be held at 5:00 PM in the Worship Center.

Lord's Supper

We will observe the Lord's Supper in our worship service on Sunday, August 4. Come celebrate what Jesus Christ has done for us.

Tabernacle Fall Kick-Off

Come join us Sunday, August 11 for a ministry lunch following the worship service. Learn about the upcoming areas you can serve. And come kick off the fall schedule on Wednesday, August 21 as all Wednesday night activities start back that night.

SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY

Sr. Adult Overnight Big South Swing Tour

Attention all Senior Adults! Come join us for an overnight trip on August 15-16. Sign up begins July 21 and will cost $65 per person with a $25 deposit due August 4. Please contact Marie Ragsdale in the church office to sign up.

STUDENT MINISTRY

Youth Rafting Trip

Attention all youth! Come join us for a fully guided rafting trip on July 26-27. The cost is $90 and includes rafting, meals and lodging.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Our weekday preschool is currently hiring teachers for the 2019-2020 school year. If you or someone you know is interested in a rewarding career serving children, please contact Dana Harman at [email protected] .

Our purpose is to offer families in our community a program that combines the highest standards in early childhood education within a safe Christian environment where children can grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially.

Bible Presentation for First and Second Graders

DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY

B.L.A.S.T. For Bible Study Leaders

Attention all Sunday School leaders! Come join us for mid-summer leadership training on Thursday, July 18, 6 - 7:30 PM, in the Fellowship Hall. A light supper will be provided.

Darkness Into Light Child Abuse Training

This training is for anyone who works with children or youth. Learn simple and practical actions you can take to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Contact [email protected] to sign up by July 22.

Prayer For Teachers

Teacher prayer service is Wednesday, July 24 at 11:00 AM in the chapel. This is open to all teachers. For more information, contact Vickie Brookings or Mary Lou Grimmett in the church office.

MISSIONS MINISTRY

Community Needs

Open Hands, our community food and assistance center, needs unscented baby wipes, pop-top fruit, and bar soap. Alice's House, a local children's home, needs deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, bath towels. Items may be dropped off in the hallway by the Fellowship Hall.
