THE DOME NEEDS A LITTLE T.L.C.
The City of Tacoma issued a request for proposals (RFP) this month seeking contractors to clean the Tacoma Dome’s roof.

One of the largest wood-domed structures in the world, the Dome’s 5-acre roof was built with 1.6 million board feet, according to the venue’s  website , and weighs nearly 1.5 million pounds.

BEAUTIFICATION OF TACOMA ROADWAY
The City of Tacoma’s Department of Public Works, has issued a request for bids (RFB) for the beautification of South Tacoma Way and Pacific Avenue.

The project will primarily include landscaping; clearing and grubbing, planting trees and shrubs, applying hydroseed, and rock placement for hardscapes.

One issue of every American Ninja Warrior taping is a possible rainout due to the course only made for the outdoors.

Taking the show indoors to the Tacoma Dome solved this conundrum and “allowed us to come to an area where, not only do we have great athletes, but we have a rabid fan base, and people have been turning out in droves,” says Matt Iseman, who has co-hosted “American Ninja Warrior” since its fifth season.
