Preaching Text: John 18:28-40


Bringing truth to light. We will hear a part of Jesus' trial story that involves the Roman governor in that region, Pontius Pilate. We say his name every week in the Apostles' Creed- 'Jesus suffered under Pontius Pilate'. After reading the scripture for this week, we may decide to add something about Pilate's own suffering. Let's explore together this weekend.

Holy God, in the story of the final hours leading up to Jesus' crucifixion we see all kinds of powers asserting authority. Help us to tune our hearts to the Shepherd's authority. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Soup Suppers and Holden Evening Prayer take place every Wednesday in Lent through March 25. Click HERE for Lent, Holy Week, and Easter Schedules.

• May we share your blessed eternity with our sibling saints.

Into your hands we place our prayers, spoken and unspoken, and entrust all things to your eternal care. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Taffy Apple Salad

We have raised just over $1.2 Million in the Making Space Campaign. Our build team (Mike Slifka, Craig Elliott, Nanette Anderson, Amy Steenson and Pastor Trudy- two architects, a builder and two church folk) have been working with JNKA (our design build company) to bring the project in line with our budget.  We are close! Your gifts to Making Space now can help with our planning and discernment.  One significant item that is outstanding is whether we will be able to use an existing heating/AC unit. This will be determined by mid-April- so keep watching your enews for more information and thank you for your generous support of Making Space and the GLC budget!

For the season of Lent, all are invited to attend our Sunday night worship service at 7:30PM. It is a 30 minute service that includes reflection, contemporary worship music, and communion.

Come be part of a monthly gathering where women grow together in faith. Each session includes a scripture-based devotion, meaningful small group conversation, and a hands-on activity to help you live out of your faith. To all of you who prepare soup deliveries, Greetings and Thank You. Michelle delivered enough soup to me for at least 3 bountiful meals. So many nourishing ingredients, such flavorful generosity. And there were crackers, and there was dessert! And even the bag was decorated with color and artistry! Of course it was a delight to be able to spend time in conversation with Michelle too.
