Show Season Is Almost Here!
Will you be showing this season? Reporting movements even for only a short period of time like a show is critical for traceability.
Here are a few quick reminders and tips:
It is a proAction requirement to report the move-in within 7 days of returning home.
Ensure that the show animal is properly tagged.
If someone else is showing your animal, it is still your responsibility to report the movement.
Get the premises identification (PID) from the fair or exhibition location to report the move-in when you return home with the animal. Check for the PID on the show registration documents, website or even a sign posted on site.
Obtain the license plate number of the vehicle or trailer transporting the animal back home.
It is also recommended to report a move-out when you leave your farm for the show.
