From rebuilding safer and smoother trails, to ensuring a reliable water supply for Tahoe’s West Shore, TCPUD wrapped up the busy 2025 construction season working to build a healthy mountain community.

Mauricio Perez, Utilities Operations Specialist II

Mauricio was consistently recognized for living our Core Values—especially Initiative, Communication, and Teamwork. He demonstrated exceptional ownership of the District’s sewer inspection program, even volunteering for extra shifts to ensure goals were met. Thanks to his leadership, the program has achieved its annual targets two years in a row for the first time in many years.
Teammates praised Mauricio’s commitment to learning through his participation in the Leadership Development Program and commitment to earning professional certifications. Customers also praised his outstanding customer service responding to on-call emergencies. Mauricio is known for being dependable, positive, and someone who builds trust across the District.

Aaron Hussmann, Public Affairs Specialist
In just his second year at the District, Aaron has made a remarkable impact. His commitment to Service shows up daily, from preparing emergency communications, to supporting field crews, and coordinating District events. Aaron’s leadership shined during the Water Treatment Plant Grand Opening, where he flawlessly organized multiple VIP tours with exceptional detail and professionalism.
Teammates also highlighted his customer focus, strong communication skills, and his efforts to strengthen the District’s communications to highlight all of the hard work TCPUD does every day in serving our community. Above all, Aaron is recognized for his willingness to help, learn, and support others across the organization.

The TCPUD Board of Directors will hold their next regular meeting on Friday, December 19 at 8:30 a.m.
We welcome attendance and public comment either in-person at 221 Fairway Drive, Tahoe City, CA, or online via Zoom.
The entire agenda and virtual attendance instructions are posted online at least 72 hours in advance at www.tcpud.org/meetings.
If you are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to provide comments to the Board, please email your comments to the TCPUD District Clerk at tviehmann@tcpud.org. Comments must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18th to be included in the board packet.
| | 2026 Water and Sewer Rates Begin January 1 | | |
The TCPUD Board of Directors adopted the 2026 Water and Sewer Rate Schedule at their regular Board meeting on November 21, 2025.
New rates will go into effect on January 1, 2026.

The adopted rates ensure TCPUD generates sufficient revenues to fund sustainable water and sewer operations, as well as essential capital infrastructure investments throughout TCPUD’s service area.
