This book was written by Chris Cinnamon, Head Instructor of Chicago Tai Chi.

Chris is a long-time student of our teacher, Master Bruce Frantzis, and established his school, Chicago Tai Chi, a decade ago.

His interest in tai chi for knee health is personal - he suffered from chronic knee pain for years before he learned tai chi with Bruce.

In the book he shares the lessons he learned in applying Bruce's tai chi principles and forms to his own knees, which are now pain-free.

After Chris began teaching tai chi, he earned a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology. So in the book he walks you through the science of what he's presenting as well.

This is a book of practice and theory, with an emphasis on practice. He teaches you about tai chi for knee health by having you learn a series of repetitive exercises that Bruce developed, Tai Chi Circling Hands. These exercises are a great work-out in themselves, and also a great warm-up for and complement to your own tai chi form if you already know one.

Chris teaches you the exercises in an excellent step-by-step manner, starting with simple, basic movements that are core to practice of all tai chi styles. You can move through the steps at your own pace. Each step includes practical advice for how to better feel, align, and manage your knees as you gradually take on more complicated movements
