Proclamation Issued For Ease Of Access To Transportation Fuels Through May 28

A proclamation to ease restrictions for transportation of and access to motor fuels has been issued by the Gov. Reynolds.

The proclamation is effective immediately and continues through 11:59 p.m. on May 28, 2026. It suspends the regulatory provisions of Iowa Code pertaining to hours of service for crews and drivers delivering diesel, gasoline or gasoline blends, ethanol and biodiesel into or within the state of Iowa.

Webinar On EPA's Draft Fungicide Strategy

The FIFRA Endangered Species Task Force (FESTF) will be hosting a webinar Thursday, May 21, from 1-3 p.m. central time to discuss the EPA's Draft Fungicide Strategy.

The intent of the webinar is to:

• provide an overview of the EPA's Draft Fungicide Strategy
• identify major themes and mitigations in the Draft Fungicide Strategy and across the Final Herbicide Strategy and Final Insecticide Strategy
• provide technical support for stakeholder questions
• highlight potential parts of the Draft Fungicide Strategy to focus on for providing public comments to EPA (due June 29, 2026)

Webinar: Failure to Warn? A Look at Recent State and Federal Action on Pesticide Labeling

This National Agricultural Law Center webinar will focus on state legislative efforts to limit liability for pesticide manufacturers facing claims that they failed to warn consumers about the health risks of using their products. States began introducing such legislation in 2024, and the trend has grown in 2025 and now into 2026. Last year saw approximately nine states introduce bills that would make a federally registered pesticide label a complete defense to a state law failure to warn claim, with two states successfully passing their bills into law. In 2026, so far five states are considering similar legislation.

Along with providing an overview of state legislation, this webinar will also examine the Supreme Court’s decision to hear Durnell v. Monsanto, a lawsuit brought by a plaintiff who claims that Monsanto failed to warn him that using Roundup could cause him to develop cancer. The arguments raised by each party will be broken down and examined for how a ruling from the Court could impact the landscape of pesticide registration.
