New! Redevelopment Academy Classes Begin in February

The Academy is a unique educational program, designed to promote a prerequisite level of knowledge and professionalism in the field of community redevelopment. The courses are open to anyone interested in learning more about redevelopment practice in Florida.

News! Building Starts on Large Housing Development in Historic Overtown

Construction has started on a critical housing development to help rejuvenate Overtown that will cater largely to local workers. The project by design sits close to public transit to encourage future tenants to rely on Metrorail, Metromover, and Brightline trains rather than cars to get around the city.

Miami-Dade County and Atlantic Pacific Companies are teaming up with Atlantic Station, the largest project so far in the county in a designated transit zone. Expected to open for tenants in mid-2025, Atlantic Station will have 616 apartments, 360 of them at discounted rents for local workers. In addition, there will be a dog park, two pools, a fitness center, and 25,000 square feet of retail stores and restaurants at street level.

Job Listing! DDB/CRA Project Manager

Performs professional-level work involving administration, coordination, and implementation of community redevelopment projects for the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Orlando. Projects will vary significantly in scope, size, and focus. Selected candidate will lead cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, City of Orlando staff from various departments, consultants, and contractors. Work is regularly reviewed for achievement of planned objectives.

RFQ! Finance Department Operations – City of Crescent City

The City of Crescent City’s long-time Finance Director has retired. The city has been unsuccessful in finding a suitable replacement. Therefore, the City is seeking a qualified firm, that is familiar and comfortable with Edmunds GovTech Software, and has the ability to have someone on-site at least two days per week, to act as our Finance Director. This firm will also provide Finance Department services to supplement, coordinate and oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
