Physicians, providers, and practices stare down a litany of Medicare cuts
There is an urgent need for the rheumatology community to contact lawmakers in Washington to direct them to address Medicare physician reimbursement in the end-of-year spending package that is currently being developed.

If Congress fails to act, physician Medicare payments are scheduled to be cut by 4.5 percent on January 1,2023.

Professional Development and Service Opportunity: Call for Nominations to Serve on RAI Board of Directors
The Rheumatology Association of Iowa is an organization of physicians, licensed healthcare professionals, and practice administrators dedicated to improving the quality of rheumatic care, creating a forum for discussion and resolution of clinical issues, and offering a sense of community to those who work directly and indirectly in the field of rheumatology in Iowa and across the Midwest.

We are accepting nominations for our Board of Directors, to be elected at the next Annual Business Meeting on February 25, 2023. Directors are elected to a one-year term. The Board meets once in-person in conjunction with the Annual Meeting and occasionally throughout the year via phone/video conference. 

If you or a colleague are an RAI member and would be willing to attend board meetings and provide direction to the best of your ability, please reply to this message with a recent Resume/CV, as well as a brief Nomination Statement describing the nominee’s interest in serving on the Board.
