Being physically active 4-5 times per week is important to me because it makes me switch my focus for a bit, and it’s incredibly beneficial to my health. That said, I don’t always enjoy getting myself to the fitness room—there are definitely days when I drag my feet trying to find a plausible excuse to not go. But after I finish a workout, I always feel so grateful I made myself do it!

I have been alternating work outs: some days I jog on an incline on the treadmill and other days I ride a stationary bike for at least 30 minutes. I like to switch my workout routine so that I don’t get bored as easily. Working from home has meant being significantly less active during the day, and in turn has caused my metabolism to slow and a few extra pounds to accumulate, even with the workouts. So in addition to spending time in the fitness room, I make myself get out of my desk chair at least once every 2 hours and walk around for a couple of minutes and drink a lot of water.
