Take Five: Resources & Best Practices from Today
Happy Monday to all and I hope it was the most productive Monday ever. In case you missed it, ICEA is partnering with the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) to offer a webinar tomorrow featuring Jason Ebey of YGM Total Resource Campaigns. The topic is Sponsorships & Social Distancing - How to Repackage Benefits in the Age of COVID19. There is no charge but you need to register in advance.   Here are the top Take Five tips from today for your team:

  • Guidance for Reopening: The Marion-Grant County Chamber staff rolled out today Guidance on Reopening Grant County Safely. If your chamber has developed similar resources targeting reopening, please email the link to be shared with peers in the COVID resource portal.

  • Getting Employees Back To Work Safely: In case you missed it, here is the recording to the Indiana Chamber's webinar held today with tips on how businesses can get employees back to work safely.

  • Town Hall Meetings: Here's a great resource from the staff team at the Southwest Indiana Chamber . . . they are holding a series of Town Hall Forums for business sectors (i.e. close contact businesses, retail, food/beverage, etc.) to address specifics for each sector. Here's the link to the Town Hall for the restaurant/bar sector resources with downloadable resources specific to that business cluster.

  • ACTION ITEM - National Data Collection Impact of COVID on Local Chambers: ICEA is conducting this quick 15 question survey along with other state executive associations across the U.S. to measure the impact that the COVID global pandemic has had on our industry. Please have one person from your organization complete this for your Chamber no later than Friday, May 1. Take the survey.

  • ACTION ITEM - New Request for 501(c)6 Funding: ICEA, the Indiana Economic Development Association, and the Indiana Tourism Association are joining together to alert the Indiana Congressional delegation to the pressing need for financial assistance of our member organizations, and encourage them to work to include 501 ( c ) 6 organizations in future stimulus package passed by Congress. We would love for your Chamber to sign on this week to support another grassroots approach to inclusion of our organizations.
We are entering an exciting time, as all chamber professionals prepare to step up to help businesses with the reopening phase of this pandemic as opportunities roll out. Thank you for stepping up to lead your businesses during the weeks ahead.

Please call or e-mail the ICEA office as you have questions this week.
