Take Five: Resources & Best Practices from Today
It's been the Mondayest Monday ever! Before the office officially closes, I'm sending out five great take-aways from today:

  • Because We Need To Start With Something Positive: Two guest blog posts have been added to the ICEA website, both submitted by Bob Harris, CAE - Associations Were Made For Times Like These and Governance During A Pandemic.

  • Now Is The Time: Now more than ever, your Chamber is working hard to serve our members and provide them with the resources they need to get through this time of uncertainty. Now is the time to paint the picture of the value your Chamber offers. Be bold in painting the picture of the value your Chamber has brought to your community. Check out this 3 minute video released Friday by the Greater Bloomington Chamber staff. Great job team! Now is the time for all ICEA members to be bold in telling your story.

  • ZoomBusiness Webinar: ZoomBusiness is a cool new tool you may not be aware of that can immediately provide value to your members. On Wednesday, May 6th @ 1:30, this free 30-minute webinar offered by GIS Planning will cover a preview of the NEW ZoomBusiness tool to let businesses mark themselves as open or closed on your website with simple steps on how businesses can add themselves, how you can batch add businesses and approve listings, how you can publicize your region's ZoomBusiness link so businesses know to sign up and area residents know how to access it and more. There will be a Q&A at the end of the presentation. Here is the registration link.

  • Preparing To Return To The Chamber Office: This walking out of a pandemic is new for all of us, so what are some best protocol tips for returning your team to the Chamber office? As you begin to formulate your reopening plan, the six steps outlined in the guide offered by Cushman & Wakefield are a great place to start

  • #ChamberStrong: We need you now more than ever Chamber leaders. If you have not done so, sometimes this week, please post on social media about and share stories of how your chamber is supporting your community right now. The Assoiation of Chamber Executives (ACCE) continues to advocate for and work with many partners on chamber inclusion in the next stimulus package. Tag your story with #ChamberStrong, and tag your legislators and media contacts. Do your part to make sure Indiana is well-represented in this national movement.

Say it again and don't ever forget it. We've got this team! Thank you for your leadership to this profession. Now, go boldly tell your story about the great resources your Chamber is providing to help your businesses & community. If you don't tell your story, someone else will and it may not hold the same impact. Remember, we are #ChamberStrong and in this together.
