We have lots of ribbon-cuttings to announce and you are invited to them all!  June 24, 3 PM, at the Wetzel County Center for Children and Families located across from the college at the south end of Main St in New Martinsville, we will be holding a ribbon-cutting to reveal a new sculpture created by local children in 4-H! June 25, 5 PM, at Fight or Flight Escapes, the new escape room in downtown New Martinsville. Help us cut the ribbon, then make your attempt to get out. July 2, Noon at the corner of North & Main in New Martinsville, help us celebrate the grand reopening of Neff's Repair Center at their new location. They will be having a live radio remote and hot dogs for this early Independance Day celebration.

Last week, Shoe Sensation brought us a Local Trivia Challenge about Father day. They asked: "Everyone knows that Grafton, WV is credited with holding the first Mother's day observation, but there is another local city that "claims" to have held the first Father's day observation. It's going to be hard to find this city as the claim is unsubstantiated, so I will give you one more clue. This place is also credited with creating the first pepperoni roll. We will be picking one lucky person this week to give them a $25 gift card to spend at Shoe Sensation!
