This is the weekend to get out of the house and enjoy some of the many activities in the area!
Starting with the 2022 Local Hero’s & Partnership Expo at Paden City Park. The Expo starts Friday at 10 am and goes until 4 pm. Then it gears up again on Saturday! This is a real community event to honor local emergency teams. It’s presented by the West Virginia Regional Oil and Gas Roundtable Group and offers a real look at what this group provides in support of our communities. They are all about being good neighbors and partners. Take this opportunity to meet contributors, while honoring the many people who faithfully serve our communities. Come out and enjoy two days of family-centered fun!
On display will be emergency equipment along with free food and beverages for everyone. Be sure to bring your swimming suit because swimming will be free at the Paden City Park pool. There are children’s giveaways and goodie bags and a response demonstration sure to amaze! So come out and enjoy a great family day at Paden City Park!
Keep your energy up for the Wetzel County Relay for Life that starts at 6:00pm Friday evening on Main Street in New Martinsville. It’s a great way to get some exercise, see your neighbors and support a wonderful cause!
If you’re venturing upriver this weekend, check out the Wheeling Area Juneteenth Celebration, featuring events, and presentations from June 17th through the 19th. It’s sure to be enlightening, uplifting and meaningful for all Americans! www.WheelingJuneteenth.com.
