Over the past several months, the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce has been making changes to reflect our new name. We are now prepared to announce a new website: www.WetzelTylerChamber.org, created for the Chamber by local web designer, Cricket Web Services.

The new website offers community members the opportunity to learn about upcoming Chamber

events and to meet our members. Highlighted features include:

• Member Directory—enables users to locate the various services, retail locations, and eateries that are plentiful throughout our counties

• Newsletters—read current and past issues

• Chamber Cash—learn how the program works and the businesses that honor the certificates

• Board of Directors—meet our governing team

• Join the Chamber—perspective members can complete an application online

“The new website is a great leap forward,” explained Brian Rogers, the Chamber’s head of marketing. “It is mobile compatible and scalable. It will provide the Chamber with plenty of room for growth. We invite and encourage feedback from the community in our ongoing effort for improvement. We want this to be a tool that will truly benefit everyone.”

The Movie House to Host Business After Hours

We are happy to announce this month’s Business After Hours (BAH) will be held at the Movie House, located at 249 State Route 2 in New Martinsville. Doors open at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 29^th.

Attendance includes a ticket for a door prize drawing, refreshments, and a great opportunity to network with other Chamber members, their employees, families, and prospective members. All are welcome! This event will provide an opportunity for local businesses and non-profits to share information about what they are doing in a relaxing atmosphere.

The Chamber will also be holding our **“Big Bucks drawing. Big Bucks currently offers a jackpot of $150.00. Reminder to all members to bring your business cards for an additional chance to win.

As an added bonus to attending the Movie House BAH is the opportunity to preview an early showing of an upcoming summer blockbuster! The preview will begin at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10.00 and include a fountain drink and popcorn.

**Big Bucks

All members are assigned a number. Numbered chips are placed in a box for the drawing. Providing one business card at the BAH will increase your chance to win. Big Bucks are awarded in increments of $50.00. If a member is not present, the pot increases by $50.00 for the next BAH. Big Bucks is capped at $500.00.

Look for a new segment next week, "From the Director's Desk." Sharon Campbell, our new director wants to keep our members and the community informed about what is going on with the chamber and what topics and issues are going across her desk.
