Summer is in full swing and we hope that everyone is getting out and about enjoying the good weather and community activities! If you’re looking for more family friendly things to do you don’t have to look far. Sistersville is having their Annual “Picnic in the Park,” this Sunday, July 10th. It’s sure to be a lot of fun! There will be music, free swimming, crafts, a rock-climbing wall, good food and much more! The New Martinsville Vintage Regatta will have boats flying July 9 and 10! You’ll want to see some of the fastest and coolest boats imaginable. This event is a real pleaser for adults and children alike. On July 16, just a week away, plans for a cruise on the river. The Sistersville Ferry Boat River Cruise is hosting a fundraiser for the Olive Branch Animal Rescue. Enjoy a relaxing cruise with dinner and music! Later in the month, Karen Knotts, daughter of legendary actor/comedian, Don Knotts will be appearing at the Lincoln Theatre on July 29th. Ms. Knotts is brought to you by the Wetzel County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. This is a show you won’t want to miss!   So, get out of the house, save gas and have a great time locally.
