Thank you to the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, our students had an incredible opportunity to visit the University of Florida, Santa Fe College, Florida State University, and Florida A&M University—immersing themselves in campus life, connecting with student leaders, and envisioning their futures.
From personalized guided tours led by current students and alumni to engaging conversations with program officials and campus leaders, our students gained valuable insights into academic programs, campus resources, and the rich traditions that make each institution unique.
Experiences like these are game changers, helping students see firsthand what’s possible and empowering them to take the next steps toward their educational and career goals.
A huge thank you to the student leaders, faculty, and alumni who welcomed and inspired our students along the way. The future is bright!

On January 29th, we gathered at the beautiful Café Sapori to honor the dedicated mentors who make a lasting impact on our community. With over 125 mentors and guests in attendance, the evening was filled with gratitude, inspiration, and well-deserved recognition.
A highlight of the night was celebrating those who have been mentoring with us for 5, 10, and even 15 years—an incredible testament to their commitment to guiding and uplifting others. In addition to these milestones, we proudly presented special awards to individuals who went above and beyond in their roles:
Mentor of the Year – Dr. Shannon Solis and Mrs. Shar Solis
Rookie of the Year– Zvonko Cindrich
Recruiter of the Year – Suveer Bahirwani
Essential Piece Award – Sonia Soto
Each of these honorees exemplifies the heart and soul of our mentoring program, and we are beyond grateful for their dedication. The event also sparked enthusiasm among attendees, as we continue to receive mentor applications from those inspired by the evening.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our mentors—your support helps us grow and strengthen this incredible community. We look forward to another year of mentorship, impact, and connection!
