El Salvador - Add New Birds to Your List

Greetings,

Need a short break from it all? Need to add more birds to your list?

I will be in El Salvador for the month of March, and I am looking for a few people who want to go birding. Let's go birding! (As Nando always says).

It is not expensive to fly to El Salvador. Depending on where you live it is a 3 - 5 hour flight, and there are non-stops flights from many cities, and flights cost about $400 - $700. From Miami, it is a non-stop 2.5 hour flight and costs less than $300! Don't miss out, now is the time to go to El Salvador.

Dangerous? El Salvador is now one of the safest countries in the Americas.

El Salvador is about the same size as the state of New Jersey. El Salvador is less than half the size of Costa Rica. El Salvador was colonized by the Spanish in 1524 and became an independent nation in 1841. The name El Salvador is Spanish for "The Savior".

Cerro El Pital is the highest point in El Salvador at 8,957 feet above sea level. El Salvador is located along the Pacific "Ring of Fire". The country has over twenty volcanoes and two are active. El Salvador lies within the tropic zone; north of the equator and south of the tropic of Cancer. The climate has two main seasons: the dry and the wet. Due to elevation changes and other geographical features, weather can vary within the country, but generally November - April are the dry months and May through September is the wet season.

Bio Diversity: 605 species of bird, 15 hummingbird species, nearly 1,000 species of butterflies, 362 species of orchids, 90 species of mammals, just to name of few.

The tour to El Salvador includes travel to the most beautiful areas and we will have the best local guides to travel with. Please contact me with any questions you might have. If you are looking for a short, easy birding trip, El Salvador is a great choice.
