The 49th Constable Hall Annual Fair with House and Grounds Tours
Constableville, NY

Celebrate Father's Day at the 49th Constable Hall Annual Fair. This 200 year old Federal style limestone building was built by William Constable Jr. in 1819.The Constable family lived in this home until 1947 and in 1949 it became a house museum. On June 16th the prestigious estate, and it's garden and grounds, will be open for free tours. The day also features the annual antique car show. At 1:30 PM the historic Lowville Village Band, which has been making music since 1826, will perform. Food and local artisans will be available. Come step back in time and enjoy this jewel of the north country.

Come explore one of the most interesting oddities of architecture, the octagon house. Tours of the T.M. Younglove Octagon House, built in 1859, offer a glimpse into the unusual room shapes and overall design of this fascinating eight-sided Italianate structure.

Doors Open Buffalo is a day of free public access to the interiors of downtown Buffalo's most architecturally and culturally significant buildings. This is a unique occasion to see downtown as you've never seen it before: beyond the doors! Enjoy behind the scenes tours and discover architectural gems hidden in plain sight! Plan your route on the mobile friendly website or pick up a map at our information hub at the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library's Central Branch on Washington Street. All of the 30+ participating buildings are within one mile of the check-in hub.

Boscobel offers expertly guided tours of the Neoclassical mansion. All house tour tickets include admission to 68 acres of our gardens and grounds. The Neoclassical mansion was restored back to – and even beyond – its original grandeur. Though its history and original inhabitants are fascinating, the house is much more than historic. Boscobel was saved as a beautiful work of art. Tours last approximately 50 minutes.
