Early Voting Begins Monday

Early voting for the Nov. 3 election begins Monday, Oct. 19, and runs through Friday, Oct. 30. Johnson County voters can cast their ballots early at any designated early voting location during the voting period.

For Cleburne voters, Proposition A will be on the ballot. The measure asks whether the City may issue up to $62.5 million in general obligation bonds for a proposed Public Safety Facility that would bring the Police Department, Fire Administration and Municipal Court together in one purpose-built location.

Before voting, residents can review project details, frequently asked questions, downloadable flyers, design materials and other election information at www.cleburne.net/bond2026.

Cleburne Firefighters Step Up for Twin Babies

Babysitting may not be in a firefighter’s job description, but a Cleburne Fire Department crew was happy to help when a babysitter caring for 7-month-old twins experienced a medical emergency last week.

While the other crew members provided medical care, two firefighters stayed with the babies until their mother returned, keeping them safe and comfortable and even helping gather their belongings for the trip home. Their kindness helped make a stressful situation a little easier for the family.
