We at the library, wish you all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving as you celebrate with your family and friends! In observance of the holiday the library will be closing at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 24 and will be closed on Thanksgiving day. Normal library hours will resume on Friday, November 26.

Virtual Author & Illustrator Visit

You're invited to participate in a free Virtual Author and Illustrator Visit! Join us on Monday, November 1 from 11-11:30 am as author David LaRochelle and illustrator Mike Wohnoutka read from one of their books and talk about their creative process. Mike will be illustrating one of their characters live and both will be taking questions from viewers. Want to join us? Gadgets & Gizmos!

It looks great in the commercial, but do you really need the latest kitchen gadget? Will it work as promised? Chef Rob will eliminate some of the guesswork on Saturday, November 3 at 3 PM. Join us as we stream Gadgets & Gizmos live on the library's Facebook page! Rob will discuss his findings for several popular kitchen gadgets. He'll tell you what ones are worth the money and what ones you should pass by.
Thanksgiving Food Fest

Wondering what to do with those inevitable Thanksgiving day leftovers?! Chef Rob has some fantastic suggestions that will make quick use of the holiday food and leave your family clamoring for more! Rob will reveal these recipes on Saturday, November 20 at 3 PM on the library's Facebook page for this Live event.

What Am I Thankful For?
We would love to hear from area youth and teens (0-18 yrs)! Share your thoughts with us, via a short video on social media (tag the library), or write a few sentences, draw a picture and email either
to youth@bradfordlibrary.org. Submitted works will vie for the opportunity to win one of two $20 BACC gift certificates. All entries must be received by November 23rd to be considered. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 24.

World War II Diary
In honor of the many servicemen and women who bravely protect our nation, we will be celebrating Veteran's Day with a special reading, straight from a GI's World War II diary.
Hear a first-hand account of Robert W. Robertson, Junior's tour of duty. We will showcase some of his treasured artifacts and photographs from his time served. World War II Diary is a prerecorded, virtual program that will premier on the library's Facebook page on Thursday, November 11 at 11 AM. This program will also be available on the library's YouTube channel.
Building Blocks

Judy Brown, owner of the Little Fabric Garden is back with another great project! Thread those sewing machines and get ready to make this project your own! Building Blocks is a prerecorded program that will premier to the library's Facebook page on Wednesday, November 10 at 10 AM. Many of our past projects can also be found on the library's YouTube channel.

Join us for a fun, in-person program on Wednesday, November 17 at 6 PM when Janelle Nolan demonstrates how to make adorable gnomes from yarn!

Adult Book Club

There are enough copies of the selected title throughout the county libraries that club members should not have any issues securing a copy. Spread the word to all your book friends and we'll see you on the 20th!
Coffee with the Curator

This virtual program is a celebration of our area's past. Hear interesting stories of people, events, and artifacts that could be easily overlooked in the collections of local historical societies and museums. Coffee with the Curator works closely with Sally Costik, curator for the Bradford Landmark Society and other institutions (i.e. Kinzua Bridge State Park) as stories become available.
YOGA SCULPT
Local yoga instructor, Kathy Wright, is leading a FREE, in-person yoga program at the library! Yoga Sculpt combines the benefits of traditional yoga with the benefits of strength training. Using light weights or just body weight, participants will improve endurance and mobility, while also toning muscles and strengthening their body. Individuals will need a yoga mat and 1,2, or 3 lb weights. 
This program also streams Live on the library's Facebook page on Monday, November 8 & 22 at 6 PM.
All classes are 30 minutes in length and can squeeze into any busy schedule.

Upcycle This!

Join us Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. for this biweekly, virtual program November 11 & 25
We complete a variety of craft projects with materials easily found at home or a local thrift store.
"Upcycle This!" is a prerecorded video that premiers on the library's Facebook page, so you can enjoy it any time that is convenient for you!

Basic Desktop Navigation
This is an introductory program for individuals who struggle with basic navigation of a computer desktop. Registration is necessary for this Thursday, November 18 program at 5 PM.

Pop-In Poppies Craft
Pop into the library on Friday, November 12 anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM for a fun craft! We will be making Pinwheel Poppies in honor of Veteran's Day.
Kulinary Kids

Wednesday, November 3, 10, and 17 at 4:30 PM

This session of Kulinary Kids is designed for aspiring chefs in 4th - 8th grade. Join nutritionist Laurie Maletto, as she demonstrates healthy recipes via Zoom. Creative Youth

Do you have a creative work you would enjoy sharing with others (i.e. story, poem, music, art, pictures, etc.)? Then the library is your venue! Join us on Tuesday, November 9. Third - Seventh grade students will meet at 5 PM. Eighth through Twelfth grade will meet at 5:45 PM.

Join Jim Ronan for music and fun on Wednesday, November 17 at 11 AM! Juice Box Heroes is an in-person event that is held in the Children's library. We will be singing, dancing, laughing, and making lots of music!
