Community Baby Shower!


Starting 9.1.2022, our new CWWV Drop-In center will provide free emergency child watch services for families seeking court protections and safety. This program will reduce barriers to service for vulnerable families and link parents and guardians with further advocacy, legal, and referral support.


Items can be ordered and shipped directly from our Amazon Wish List or dropped off at 137 S. Main St., Suite 300, Akron, OH 44308 Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM.

The Essentials of Victim Advocacy

The Essentials of Victim Advocacy is the only nationally approved comprehensive online and in-person training of its kind, offered in the state of Ohio, for assisting individuals in becoming a comprehensive National Credentialed Advocate. Participants who complete this 40 hour course will become equipped to use NOVA’s (National Organization for Victim Assistance) crisis intervention model to assist individuals impacted by victimization or traumatic events.


Course Units include: Victim Advocacy, Crisis Response, Justice Process, Cultural Humility, Impact of Trauma, Live-Action Practice, and more. Take your advocacy to new heights heights and register today!

VAP Director of Education, Dana Zedak, and VAP Director of Services, Becky Cool, will be presenting at the 48th Annual NOVA Training on the topic of Childhood Trauma.


There is still time to join over 1,200 professionals this summer to learn skills and strategies for best-practice crisis response.
