Genesis LA leads a $10.15 million acquisition loan to the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE)!

This year marks PACE’s 50th anniversary and we are celebrating by assisting PACE to buy their first permanent headquarters building, which will become the organization’s primary hub for delivering workforce development, business support, and other community services to LA County residents.

Genesis LA closed on a $10.15 million loan in early October, which allowed PACE to acquire a 63,874 square foot commercial office building in downtown Los Angeles.

Our partners at Community Vision (a CDFI) assisted with the financing by providing a 50% participation in the loan. Located at 350 S. Bixel Street, PACE’s new headquarters can meet current operations, offer improved amenities, and accommodate future growth.

In 2020, with funding from Cedars-Sinai, the California Community Foundation (CCF), L.A. County Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Department of Health Services (DHS) partnered with Genesis LA and Brilliant Corners to research licensed residential care facilities.

This research was done in pursuit of alleviating LA County’s on-going housing crisis, and explores how ARFs and RCFEs can be more financially sustainable to provide supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Genesis LA finances a $500,000 CDFI loan for PATH Ventures' permanent supportive housing development.

We provided a $500,000 construction-to-permanent loan to PATH Ventures, which serves as the development arm of People Assisting the Homeless (PATH). The funds will be used to convert a former Ramada Inn, located in the Venice neighborhood, into a 32-unit permanent supportive housing (PSH) development serving individuals experiencing homelessness. Our financing helps to move the project into renovation and operations after facing delays.

All residential units will be reserved for households earning between 30% to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). After completion, Brilliant Corners will serve as the housing coordinator and service provider for all tenants, including on-site case management.
