Oppose HB 39 - This bill would allow political parties to contribute to judicial candidates.
TALKING POINTS:
- 1) there is already too much money in politics.
- 2) the judiciary should be untethered from partisan bias.
- 3) issues brought to the judiciary should be decided upon by merit, without question of whether or not a decision was "bought" by partisan control.

First, register to comment: Participate - Montana Legislature. You can then comment to the entire committee using this website.
Here are the stops to follow:
- Click on Sign Up Now.
- Enter your email address and then click on Send Verification Code.
- Click on Verify Code.

- Once you get into the Public Participation page, click on General, Send a Message.
- Send a Message to: Choose Committee
- Click on the Drop Down Menu
- Locate and select (H) State Administration
- Select All Committee Members
- Click Continue
- Under Subject, type OPPOSE HB 39 - This bill would allow political parties to contribute to judicial candidates.
- Under Comment: Use the talking points above to create your personal message. Feel free to add more. Be sure to include a thank you to our legislatures.
- Click Submit.
Or, call the switchboard at (406) 444-4800 and make a request to the entire State Administration Committee to oppose. Give a brief justification using talking points above.
