This empowered her to find her own truth and pay it forward through creating life-changing experiences for others where they can hold space for each other’s pain and begin to heal together through creating community art projects.

The Kentucky Arts Council invites you to participate in a new online series for artists, organizations and other arts stakeholders to learn about available national resources in case of emergencies. Call for Applications: Black Filmmaker Residency for Screenwriting

Indie Memphis is presenting the Black Filmmaker Residency for Screenwriting sponsored by the Remembering George Riley Fund. This residency will take place in Fall 2023 for two months. Applicants can be an emerging or established screenwriter. All applicants must be from outside of the Greater Memphis Metro area. This residency includes housing in Memphis and a cash stipend of $7,500.

Call for Applications: Yield Giving Open Call

MacKenzie Scott's Yield Giving announced the launch of a $250 million Open Call focused on elevating organizations working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States: communities, individuals, and families with access to the fewest foundational resources and opportunities. Organizations applying must have an operating budget of no less than $1 million and no greater than $5 million.

Call for Submissions: Abbey Mural Prize

In honor of muralist Edwin Austin Abbey, the National Academy of Design supports the creation and restoration of public murals in the United States. Applications are open to all artists, architects, designers, as well as arts and community-based organizations and other nonprofits. Projects must be for public buildings owned by a charitable institution.

Grant Amount: $10,000 to $40,000

Call for Applications: Pollock-Krasner Foundation

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation provides financial resources for visual artists to create new work, acquire supplies, rent studio space, prepare for exhibitions, attend a residency and offset living expenses. Visual artists who are painters, sculptors and artists who work on paper, including printmakers are invited to apply. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time.
