2020 Training & Workshops
Saturday's 10am-2pm

Take the mystery out of planned giving for your parish. Learn in easy to understand terms how planned giving differs from annual stewardship and capital campaigns, and how your parish can build
endowments through wills and life income and other planned gifts.
Learn about the importance of a parish vision, protecting and growing your endowment, and how to invite others to remember your parish through estate and financial planning.
You will leave the workshop with
a plan of action.
The National Church

The Way of Love is a way of life. More than a program or curriculum, it is a return to the ancient pathways and Rules of Life that followers of Jesus have observed for centuries. They knew the power of commitment to a core set of practices—
Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go, Rest—and the power of gathering in a small group where you find love and support for living into these commitments.

Youth Ministry with Andrew Zirschky
Tired of resorting to gimmicks and games to spice up your same-old way of teaching the Bible to teenagers? Rather than tweaking the way you teach, get out of the box and discover fresh approaches for helping youth experience the
implications of the gospel.
Andrew Zirschky shows how the work of the Holy Spirit and the role of the teacher coexist.

Strategic Planning
Strategic planning is a process that helps to focus on aligning the unique gifts and resources that God has given your church and ministry to take advantage of your opportunities. Congregational Development is providing everyone an amazing opportunity to organize and write a Strategic Plan.

An experimental lab for church growth and innovation
Come learn how the TryTank Experimental Lab offers a much-needed inventive approach to the challenges facing the Episcopal Church, understanding the forces threatening the church in order to identify creative ways to equip future leaders to reinvigorate the church.

Spiritual Renewal
Through a guided methodology of self-reflection, sharing and workshop discussion, RenewalWorks challenges parishes to refocus on spiritual growth and to identify ways that God is calling them to grow. Outcomes of the RenewalWorks process are unique to each parish, reflecting that community’s specific challenges and opportunities.

Stewardship Training
Equip you and your leadership team with the steps needed to create a culture of true
biblical stewardship fueled by generosity.
It is through an understanding of stewardship and a practice of gratitude and generosity that we will grow spiritually.

Invest in yourself!
Join Congregational Development and refine and strengthen your leadership skills as you create a road map for personal improvement. Become an Effective Leader: one who has been taught how to best utilize their strengths and make improvements on their weaknesses.

Volunteers help us achieve our goals and improve our community. When visitors or parish members come to us for help, they can’t distinguish between paid staff and volunteer staff, so it is critical that we recruit, effectively lead, train and retain a highly dedicated and professional volunteer staff to help us enhance program participation and bring more people into our loving church community.
