Connecting members of MMAC's World Trade Association,
the region's premier international network.
WTA is Committed to Export Compliance!
By Katie Henry, Executive Director, MMAC's World Trade Association

In the many conversations I have with our WTA members, the complexity of compliance when it comes to exporting is a constant and consistent theme. I hear this frustration from both seasoned exporters to folks just starting out. WTA is here to take the fear out of these issues. One of WTA's primary areas of expertise is our ability to educate companies by using our extensive membership as thought leaders & presenters. Quite a few of our member companies have more than 75 years of global business experience and even they are continuously learning, they have valuable expertise they will share with you.

In the upcoming months we have pooled our partners and our experts in the field to bring you high quality export compliance related programs:
  • Compliance Roundtable - Friday, March 24
One of the great things about the Milwaukee Region is that we have an amazing network for anyone involved in exports because the WTA has actual skin in the game.  Through the Brookings Global Cities Initiative, the region brings all the exporting resources together, and once a month we meet at the same table. Partners in this effort include the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership, US Export Assistance Center, Milwaukee 7, the Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing & Productivity and the WTA - representing the private sector - discussing referrals and how we can each lend our expertise to companies.

I truly believe that you are in one of the best regions in the country to conduct global business!

Contact me if you would like more information on this initiative and how you can take advantage of the numerous opportunities it represents. or 414.287.4123.
