Taking the Best of Pisces into The Age of Aquarius
by Linda Brady

For many months, if not years, I have been writing and speaking about how important it is to move away from the Age of Pisces into the next age, The Age of Aquarius. It occurred to me as the Sun has moved into Pisces that I need to extol the positive attributes and qualities of our Pisces friends. I believe, as Nelson Mandala once said, forgiveness is an act of selflove and freedom. It is my opinion that the most important spiritual quality that we needed to learn in the 2,000 years of the Age of Pisces is the power of Forgiveness.

I call on us all to keep the treasures of the Age of Pisces while being open to embodying the new values of the Age of Aquarius, which represents the next phase of spiritual and emotional evolution that is awaiting us. Are we ready to be open with curiosity and wonder at the new possibilities of what the future can bring? As Albert Einstein noted in The Merging of Spirit and Science : “The most beautiful and most profound experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the source of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder, and stand rapt in, is as good as dead.” He wrote this in 1954!

Here are some practice points for those of us ready to become transformed Piscean citizens. Be willing to:
•       Engage in love for experimentation, creativity, and inventiveness
•        Free ourselves from self-destructive and sacrificial Piscean beliefs such as suffering and guilt
•        Manifest the art of forgiveness
•        Connect to the mind of God and to our Soul
•        Discover our inner dreamer and manifest our vision
•        Surrender ourselves to universal love
•        Develop our imagination and create magic in our lives
•        Use our night dreams to connect with our unconscious power
•        Make our unconscious minds our best friends
•        Seek personal independence with emotional and spiritual strength

Neptune was discovered in 1846. It rules the sign of Pisces and has also been the ruling planet of the Age of Pisces for the last two thousand years. Its symbol is the Trident of Poseidon (or Neptune), the Sea God. Neptune spends approximately fourteen years in each sign. Therefore, the sign containing Neptune is a generational marker. The sign that contains Neptune also provides experiences of personal sacrifice that will help us to understand our path to personal redemption. We create specific types of suffering in Neptune in order to understand the suffering we caused others in our karmic past.
Neptune in Pisces
by Linda Brady

Neptune has been journeying through the sign of Pisces since February 3, 2012 and continues until January 27, 2025. Neptune is the ruling planet of Pisces, which means that Neptune has ruled the last 2,000 years. This will be the last transit of Neptune in the age of Pisces. It will return to Pisces in 144 years while we are experiencing the Age of Aquarius.  I believe this transit is critical to our feeling the emotional and spiritual power of Pisces. It has encouraged us to:

  • Find compassion without judgment
  • Learn to flow with your emotions, not being controlled by them
  • Being compassionate and gentle with yourself
  • Create spiritual practices that need to become more connected to the material world
  • Use power of the unconscious mind to determine symbolic solutions to daily challenges
  • Learn the power of dreams and be able to interpret them
  • Connect with your Soul’s voice
  • Know that forgiveness is an act of love and freedom for you
On My Mind - Meditation to Release Anger
by Michael Brady

This past week I ordered a loveseat with a center console from overstock.com. It came in three different boxes. It required some assembly. I have never bought furniture this way before. I unpacked it and set to putting it together. This took about an hour and a half. I’ve been buying used furniture for more than a few years. This was brand new. It was beautiful. It was “perfect”. I settled in to taking my time with the work. I wanted to do it right. After I attached the second loveseat to the center console, I sat back to take in my spiffy new place to relax and watch TV with Linda. Suddenly, I saw an 18-inch tear in the material on the front corner of the loveseat. It was big and noticeable. I immediately flashed back to a warning on the cartons to be careful about cutting them open. I thought, oh my god I did this? I wasn’t careful enough. I looked at it and it looked more torn than cut to me. But I wasn’t sure. I panicked. I felt out of control. I felt insufferable rage at myself. I felt like Alfred E. Neuman (of MAD Magazine). When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. I had a meltdown. Not a blowout, a meltdown. In that meltdown I felt out of control. I couldn’t figure out what to do in front of me. I couldn’t undo the past hour and a half of work. I was stuck in the middle between the future and the past. And I was angry with myself…because I wasn’t in control of anything at that moment. And that anger felt insufferable... Read more...
Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

Mercury goes retrograde in conjunction with Neptune in the sign of Pisces.
The period from February 17 to March 9 will be a time for reviewing, reflecting and resolving what you have felt, thought and intuited in the past three weeks. It is a do-over, a time to be introspective and to correct miscommunications from the previous 3 weeks. Challenges and misunderstandings can occur if you are not aware of your emotional center. If you are not clear about what other people mean, check it out so distortions will be minimized.

During the conjunction with Neptune you will need personal retreat time to meditate, dream and explore your emotional and spiritual life. You might encounter people who are a bit needy and co-dependent. This is your opportunity to maintain your boundaries and take care of yourself first. Then you will be able to have more empathy for them.

When Mercury goes direct in Aquarius on March 9, there is a shift of filters from Pisces (water) to Aquarius (air).  Finding the integration of heart and mind is how you become rational, which is the highest level of the Aquarian way. More about this later in the month when Saturn moves into Aquarius and opens the door to the Gateway of the Age of Aquarius.
