Why Take the Census?
An accurate count of your community helps inform how hundreds of billions of dollars might get used each year for public services like clinics, schools, public transit, and hundreds of programs. This also includes library services.

An accurate count will determine how many seats your state will get in the U.S. House of Representatives. This representation is based off your state's population.
The Census & COVID-19
The most important thing you can do is respond online, by phone, or email when you receive your invitation. Responding now will minimize the need for the Census Bureau to send census takers out into communities to follow up in person.
