Industry Leading
We want to thank you for all you do, every day. Our customers and thousands of people who rely on them for essential services are counting on us.

We will continue our work of completing challenging projects to our high standards, taking all precautions from official guidance. We will remain a team as we work through this time together.

Coronavirus Update
The news and disruption related to the COVID-19 “coronavirus” has generated questions and concerns for all of us. We continue to take a very proactive approach to our response. We are closely monitoring official guidelines on how to stay safe, and have put in place additional cleaning measures and safe guards to keep us all healthy.

It is extremely important to our work together and to the health and safety of our community that each of us do our part to help stop the spread of this virus. We are all counting on each other.
Here's What You Need to Do:

  • If you have fever or are sick do not come to work. Contact your health care provider if you need immediate care. Self-isolate until fever-free for 24 hours and contact your manager before returning.
  • If you have been exposed to a patient who is COVID-19 positive or awaiting a test, please alert your manager and stay home.
  • Personal Preparedness: We understand that schools and day cares are being closed. Every employee who may be affected by a school or day care closure should be developing a personal contingency plan now. Do you have friends, neighbors, or parents that could help? We encourage you to communicate with your manager about any concerns that you may have.
  • Practice excellent hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette, and maintain social distance.

Here's What You Can Expect at Work:

  • We have adjusted our operations to create as much separation as possible on our crews:
  • Meetings will be held virtually whenever possible. If in-person meetings are required, they will be held in spaces large enough to maintain social distance.
  • Paperwork submission to a mailbox or other receptacle will be used in place of in-person check-ins at the end of our work day. All paperwork that can be submitted digitally will be, and protective equipment will be provided to those handling paperwork.
  • Anyone typically assigned to a shared office will work in a separate space.
  • Hotel rooms are limited to one person per room.
  • The requirement to carpool to job sites has been lifted, and we recommend that people avoid carpooling if possible. People who were passengers in a carpool will now be paid for eligible mileage according to our standard policy.
  • Sharing of equipment and tools will be eliminated where possible. If a tool or machine must be shared, surfaces must be cleaned before and after use. Drivers and equipment operators will be kept in the same piece of equipment whenever possible.
  • Crews will be kept as small and as consistent as possible.
Casella COVID-19 Cleaning Procedures
  • We have increased cleaning of our work spaces and tools:
  • Everyone should review and follow our up-to-date cleaning and disinfecting procedures for their work space on a daily basis.
  • We are doubling our usual cleaning schedule for shared spaces such as offices and bathroom facilities.
  • We are distributing cleaning supplies and protective equipment to all work sites.
What Else Do I Need to Know?
We know that many of you have questions and concerns. We are happy to say that, to our knowledge, we can still report that none of our employees have been directly affected. Please click here to find a list of common questions and the answers prepared by our Response Team.

We thank all of you for your ongoing efforts to faithfully execute these precautionary measures, along with all official guidelines regarding social distancing.
WHAT DOES THE TERM "SOCIAL DISTANCING" MEAN?
Social distancing means remaining out of group settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet) from others when possible. We are encouraging employees both at work and in their communities to be thinking through ways to maintain social distancing from others.
