Spring has been soaring by at Challenge Air! We've had an incredible season so far with three exciting Fly Days and three successful fundraising events. None of this would be possible without our amazing village of sponsors, pilots, and volunteers who help make dreams take flight for our incredible VIPs.
As we wrap up the spring season with upcoming Fly Days in Santa Rosa on May 3rd and Spokane on May 31st, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for your continued support. Lockwood Distillery in Richardson, TX is mixing up something special this April with their “Cocktail for a Cause”fundraiser!
Proceeds from every “Plane Awesome” cocktail sold will benefit Challenge Air for Kids & Friends all month long. 💙
We kicked things off on April 16th with a great crowd, and good vibes— all for a cause that helps kids with special needs co-pilot their dreams.

The Denver Silent Auction on April 12th was a soaring success — raising over $10,000 to help support our VIP Co-Pilots at the upcoming September Fly Day!

At this year’s Dallas Fly Day, we paused to honor the lives and legacies of two beloved volunteer pilots — Dave Wheeler and Kevin Lacey — with a moving Missing Man Formation tribute flight.
A majestic DC-3 (Dave’s favorite) and a T-28 took to the skies, soaring west with a left break in remembrance.
Our deepest thanks to the Commemorative Air Force B-29/B-24 Squadron for helping us create such a powerful moment of remembrance.
Fly high, Dave and Kevin. You are forever part of our squadron.
